Family – Draft 1

This was one of the most fun projects I have had. I haven’t used audition before so it was a lot of fun to play around with it. I have always been interested in audio editing and it was really interesting. Being able to play with the creative commons music and listen to their different styles was very interesting and hearing the voices being edited was fun. It was nice to be able to hear my friend’s opinions on family and then being able to put those together to give such a diverse explanation was a lot of fun. I cannot wait to finish this up and be able to hear my final product and those of others. It took a lot of time to edit the smaller pieces together and get it perfect to get the specific words and not any parts of the ones on either sides of them. It is still fun to play around with the audio and mess with the different voices. I am starting to realize how some voices sound nicer together than others. I need to shorten up the clip which will be difficult because I am so attached to the topic and all the responses so that will be my main challenge this coming week. It will be interesting to hear others and the differences between how I went about it compared to the different styles of others. I think my style is the heartfelt deep sounds. My creative commons music I selected because even before I added the audio clips it made the impact that I was going for on the audience. I want the listener to realize the importance of family to the people in my clips. The clips really show the stories of their lives and I love that about my draft. It shows the background and their future all in one clip with just a few words each and I don’t think I could’ve done that any better. Overall I am very satisfied with the draft.
